Biography

Joe N. Ploog is an Assistant Professor in Strategy at IE Business School and is currently completing his PhD at UCL School of Management. His research focuses on digital platforms, more precisely on intra-platform competition and network effects. Before starting his PhD, Joe graduated with cum laude (distinction) from the MSc. Program in Strategic Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and received a BA. in International Business from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen and Nuremberg.

In his free time, Joe likes to spend time cooking and playing (video-) games, which often inspire the empirical settings for his research.
