Biography

Shivaang Sharma is a PhD student at the UCL School of Management, Research Group of Strategy & Entrepreneurship. His orienting research question is how socially marginalized actors create pressure for institutional change. Currently, he is examining how collaborative organizational forms navigate internal tensions and overcome institutional obstacles. He enjoys learning and problematizing theoretical issues in Institutional theory, Social-Symbolic work and Social Innovation. Prior to joining UCL, Shivaang completed his MSc. Management at Concordia University (Montreal). He has spent most of his life in an array of sustainability-centric organizational roles - from an Illegal Wildlife Crimes Patrolling Officer to a Sustainability Consultant.
