Biography

I am a Senior Post Graduate Teaching Assistant (SPGTA) with the Faculty of Engineering and the School of Management of University College London (UCL). I support students’ learning in Mathematical Modelling and Analysis (MMA) and Linear Algebra. My PhD research in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UCL is on optimizing the weight and performance of structures without compromising on cost and safety. As an Assessment Coordinator on the MMA II (2017 till date), I review the main exam papers and coursework for the MMA II module to ensure they are aligned to the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) of the module and that the questions are fair to students of various capabilities and performance level. I also worked as an Assistant Module Coordinator on the MMA II module. I ensured Teaching and Learning (T&L) resources are regularly updated and checked on Moodle. I also edited lecturecast recordings for students’ use to aid their self-study. I also coordinated a team of other PGTAs in setting Mock Exams questions and solutions for MMA I & II modules in response to the need of providing students with more relevant preparatory materials for the exam. I also facilitated standard pace review lectures for students that are struggling with the MMA II module due to their background. This was set-up to bridge their knowledge gap and to boost their confidence. I am currently a PGTA with the School of Management on MSIN0015 (Mathematical Foundations of Management II, Linear Algebra), MSIN0069 MSc Entrepreneurship (Managing the Growing Firm) and MSIN0100 (Global Entrepreneurship).
