Biography

Ali Jamshed is currently in the second year of his PhD program within the Department of Finance and Management at SOAS, University of London. His primary research focus centers on investigating the impact of an economic shock on earnings quality, determinants and market outcomes of earnings quality for UK-based companies.

After successfully completing his master’s degree in Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics (LSE), Ali ventured into the dynamic realms of investment banking and research analysis. Notably, during this period, he managed to clear all three levels of the CFA program and currently holds the prestigious charter. Nevertheless, Ali’s unwavering passion for academia ultimately steered him towards a career transition into the role of a lecturer. Over the years, he has taught a diverse range of subjects including Principles of Accounting, Principles of Banking and Finance, Financial Intermediation, Asset Pricing and Financial Markets, and Corporate Finance, all as part of the University of London International Programmes. Additionally, Ali serves as a graduate teaching assistant at SOAS, actively conducting seminars for the Introduction to Accounting and Financial Accounting 1 module within the Department of Finance and Management.
