Yi-Chun Akchen (formerly Yi-Chun Chen) is an Assistant Professor at the UCL School of Management, University College London. His research develops data-driven models and algorithms to understand customer choice and guide complex decision-making in retail and platform operations. His work draws on optimization and machine learning, with applications in assortment and inventory planning. Yi-Chun received his Ph.D. in Management from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), M.S. in Computational and Applied Math from Stanford University, and B.S. in Physics from National Taiwan University.
