Nilam Kaushik shortlisted for the 3MT competition finals

Congratulations to UCL School of Management PhD student Nilam Kaushik who has been selected as one of the top three finalists from the Faculty of Engineering 3 Minute Thesis Competition.

3MT is an academic competition developed by the University of Queensland and is established in several countries, candidates present a 3 minute thesis using one PowerPoint slide with no additional props or electronic media. PhD students describe their research to a general audience.

Nilam’s winning topic was “Measuring the impact of app feature novelty on firm performance using Information Retrieval techniques: evidence from the mobile apps industry” which will now take her along with the two other selected students into the University-wide semi-finals.  This will take place in June, where the overall winner from UCL will be nominated for the Vitae 3MT National Final in September 2016.
