This talk reviews our findings on the genetics of entrepreneurship. It examines the evidence for the effect of genes on the tendency to start businesses and the tendency to identify entrepreneurial opportunities. It identifies the mechanisms through which genetic factors affect entrepreneurial activity. It also discusses molecular genetics research in entrepreneurship. It concludes with the limitations and implications of a genetics perspective in entrepreneurship.
