The External Engagement Director will act as the strategic lead for all the UCL School of Management’s corporate and alumni relations activities. In addition to implementing new initiatives, the post holder will lead on bringing all facets of the School’s external engagement strategy together for the first time.
The post holder will be responsible for building the School’s corporate connections, with particular emphasis on attracting corporate (and philanthropic) funding. They will also have accountability for leading the development and delivery of a strong UCL School of Management brand, and for building an effective alumni relations strategy for the School.
Significant leadership experience will be required for the role, in order to establish a high performing team with shared goals, and to represent the School both nationally and internationally. This role will be crucial to the achievement of the School’s strategic priorities via the delivery of projects to improve market position, drive long term revenue growth and enhance the School’s reputation in order to attract outstanding students, world class faculty and secure vital funds to further the School’s research mission. the post hold is expected to hold a Postgraduate management qualification e.g. MBA.
The post holder will have significant demonstrable experience in business development (including identifying, initiating and maintaining project/partnership activity) and also client relationship management, ideally within a top business school and designing, defining and executing impactful strategic plans.
