Anil Doshi

Biography
Currently accepting applications for Fall 2026 PhD students.
Anil researches how data and information environments affect actor behaviours. He studies emerging technologies with broad societal impact, including generative AI, social media, and commercial space. In his research on generative AI, he studies how new data, information, and content produced by AI models affect different areas of human activity.
Anil teaches data analytics and generative AI in a variety of contexts, including the core data analytics class to in the UCL MBA program and Strategy and Analytics MSc Business Analytics students. He also leads the Generative AI and Practice Workshop series, offered to all School of Management Students. He has also taught programs on AI, analytics, and digital transformation in different executive education programs.
Background
Anil has over ten years of industry experience. He founded a company called introPLAY, which developed community-based services to promote physical activity. He also worked at Vencast, a financial services startup that matched institutional capital with startups, hedge funds, and private equity funds. His posts in finance include Ahab Capital Management, a distressed hedge fund, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he worked in the Space and Satellite Group.
Anil earned his doctorate from the Technology and Operations Management unit at Harvard Business School. He received an A.B. in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College.
