Senior Global Engagement Officer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The Senior Global Engagement Officer will act as the administrative lead for the UCL School of Management’s global engagement activities. The post holder will work with the Global Engagement team to implement the Global Engagement Strategy of the School which includes managing relationships with all the School’s international partners, managing the student exchange programmes, managing the design and delivery of international programmes and supporting alumni and recruitment events overseas. The post holder will act as the first point of contact in the School, for students and staff, for all queries related to global engagement activities. They will also be involved in special projects with the School’s Deputy Director (MBA and Global Engagement). The post requires the ability to build and sustain professional relationships with a wide range of international partners, academic staff, students and alumni, therefore communicating effectively both orally and in writing is paramount. The ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure whilst delivering high quality service standards is vital and the post holder will be expected to use their own initiative to contribute to the development and improvement of administrative processes associated with the School’s global engagement activities and strategy. Line Management The Senior Global Engagement Officer reports to the Programme Director (Global Engagement). In addition, they work closely with other School staff including: • School’s Deputy Director (MBA and Global Engagement) • Programme Directors and professional services team leads • School Manager

This is an 10 month fixed-term maternity cover role, which is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% onsite with the possibility to extend for a further month.

About you

The post holder will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have significant experience in Higher Education or similar environment, have experience of liaison, engagement and networking with international partners and a track record of developing and maintaining key relationships.
