Tao is currently a PhD candidate with an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship at the UCL School of Management and a visiting scholar at Harvard Economics Department and Harvard Business School. Previously he was a visiting scholar at Yale School of Management. He holds a BS degree in Biomedicine and used to be a PhD candidate in Medicine at the Chinese Academy of Science and Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Institute. He also worked as a practitioner in a hospital before he came to UCL.
Tao’s enthusiasm for pursuing a career in the strategy and entrepreneurship field stems from my previous experience as a medical school student and a doctor. Knowing the process of drug innovation and clinical treatment and the urgency of reducing the attrition rate of drug development, he decided to investigate how to improve innovation performance in the biopharmaceutical industry using both learning theory and network theory. He also works on entrepreneur finance to improve the financing condition in health care.
