Neil is a Teaching Fellow and PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at Royal Holloway, University of London; he also performs a variety of roles in the Department of Economics and School of Management at UCL. He began his PhD in 2015, having completed his bachelors degree in Economics at the University of Manchester, and his M.Sc at RHUL. In addition to his academic pursuits he has a professional background in retail operations management, and engages in a variety of consulting actiivities.
His academic research interests are in the fields of Labour Economics, Applied Econometrics, Policy Analysis and Experimental Economics.
In 2016 he co-founded BRIDGE, a research group within the Department of Economics at RHUL focussed on building links between the department and private sector organisations, with the aim of scientifically trialling models and policy changes in real world settings
