Dr Evran is Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Teaching Fellow in M&A, Finance at UCL. He holds a PhD (Strategy) from Queen Mary, University of London. He has an MSc (Management) from Brunel University and a BSc (Economics) from Gazi University, Turkey. His expertise lies in the areas of corporate financial strategy (particularly Mergers & Acquisitions), internationalisation strategies of emerging market firms, international business, and corporate valuation.
His PhD research focuses on acquirers’ variation in performance and examines how learning processes specific to the management of the post-M&A phase affect it. He also provides a theoretical argument and an empirical test for the performance implications of PMI decisions of emerging market firms.
He has taught courses at all different levels and his main areas of teaching are corporate finance (M&A, IPO, corporate valuation), corporate strategy, and international business.
Dr Evran has work experience in corporate finance (M&A advisory). During his experience he was involved in all major aspects of strategic and financial planning, valuation, and execution of several acquisitions. He also provides strategic consulting to various start-ups in the UK.
