My name is Jehan Alswaihli. I live in Swindon with my family. I was born in Misrata Libya in Winter 1971. At school, I liked Arabic literature, and I participated in competitions about writing poems, summarising books, and scientific research between schools. I graduated with a BSc in mathematics from Misrata University in 1994. I then worked as a maths teacher for a secondary school from 1996 to 2006. I achieved an MSc in mathematics from Misrata University in 2008. Then I worked as an assistant lecturer at Misrata University, Faculty of Education. In 2013, I got a study leave and I came to the UK to learn the English language and study for a PhD degree at the University of Reading, and I got it in May 2020. I am working as a maths lecturer at New College Swindon, and Wiltshire College.
