We are excited to announce the UCL School of Management SustainTech Pitching Competition.
Are you passionate about sustainability and digital transformation? Do you have a startup idea that you're eager to develop? UCL School of Management are looking to support startups with an exciting new competition open to all UCL staff, researchers, students and alumni who want to use their business idea to make a positive impact on the world.
In collaboration with SustainTech consulting company Tecno International and led by UCL School of Management's Paolo Taticchi and Pierre-Jean Hanard, the UCL SustainTech Pitching Competition is looking for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs seeking to help the planet and its people. To enter this exciting competition, you'll need to complete the form below and submit a video pitch of no more than 4 minutes in length that should provide a strong overview of your business idea, including the name, purpose and objectives of the business, as well as the problem/s that your business would hope to solve.
After you have submitted your pitch, our team of sustainability experts will review all submissions and the selected teams will be invited to pitch their idea to a panel of judges for the chance to win one of three prizes: Best Pitch, Best Idea and Audience Choice Award. The winning team for each category will receive a £1,000 cash prize, 12 months of Business and Technical Mentorship, and an introduction to Tecno International's business partners.
We will be accepting applications until Sunday 18 February 2024, 23:59 BST. In the coming weeks, we will provide more information about the competition's in-person pitching event held at UCL School of Management's home on Level 50, One Canada Square in Canary Wharf on 06 March 2024

Learn more about the 2023 winners
In 2023 UCL School of Management hosted the inagural Sustaintech Pitching Competition. We were delighted to recieve entires from UCL staff, alumni and current students with start-up ideas covering a multitude of sectors, making it difficult to whittle it down to a select number of finalists. The finalists pitched their ground-breaking startup ideas to a panel of experts, with BioBright took home the prize for Best Pitch, Sahel AI won the Best Idea Award and Phyta Biodesign winning the Audience Choice Award.
