Zheng Sun

Biography

Zheng Sun is a PhD researcher in the Banking and Finance Research Group at King’s Business School, King’s College London. His research focuses on the impacts of geopolitical and social events on economics and finance.

Zheng is currently a Teaching Fellow in quantitative methods at the Department for Politics and International Studies, SOAS University of London. He has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at both UCL and KCL. His teaching experience spans many of the main financial professions, including Macroeconomics, Fintech Analysis, Business Risk Management, Corporate Finance, and Financial Econometrics. He is also passionate about data analysis software, such as R, Python and Alteryx. 

Outside of the academy, Zheng has extensive experience working in the banking and finance industry. In 2019 and 2020, He was involved with the European Performance Award (Hedge Fund Review), and assisted the award committee in shortlisting candidates for the final awards. He also participated in a KPMG-led IPO project for the world’s foremost animal-breeding company.

Zheng has received his Project Management Professional® certification from the Project Management Institute(PMI). He is also a certified member of the PMI United Kingdom Chapter. Along with that, he successfully completed PRINCE 2® Practitioner Examination in 2015.
